The End Is Nigh!

Well here I am at the end of the course and finding that I need to live much longer just to squeeze in all these new things I have learnt.....so that's why the retirement age has just got longer!

Social networking! This seems to be one the biggest thing to people since stamps were invented!

Community is now a word not just for the group of locals getting together around a fire drum on cracker night but for just about anybody who wants to join in on anything with anybody else from anywhere in the world!

It does have advantages and can be used to stay in touch, meet new people, join forces for a common goal and a heap of other things BUT it does need to be kept in perspective and used sensibly as we don't want to turn around in another 10-50 years and find our society has become unable to function properly because our social skills have fallen to a level so low that all we need is an internet connection and a facebook, msn, twitter, bebo, etc account and we don't have time to actually go outside and talk face to face with your neighbour!

This is Cindy signing off and thanking everyone for a wonderful experience!

  1. Congratulations on finishing. There really is a fine balance to be had with all this technology - and only if we had the time to pursue it all!
